Although we have already mentioned Christian followership when it comes to leading groups, the Christian Follower we want to talk about here is us ourselves … all of us, as in those who choose to follow Christ. 

  So let’s ask the question:  who is a Christian Follower?  Well, anyone who wishes to follow Jesus!  There are no special requirements or codes, no initiations or background checks.  Just like the finger-pointing Uncle Sam on the famous US Army recruiting poster, “I Want YOU,” Jesus extends the same invitation.  He wants you, and he wants you just as you are.  Jesus is calling all the world to follow Him, not just a few special people who are “predestined” for Heaven, as some would have us believe.  No, we are all predestined for Heaven – as long as we commit to Jesus by denying ourselves, taking up our cross, and following Him.  It is our strong desire that everyone who hears the joyful message of the Gospel is convinced to become a Jesus follower, too!
