The Christian Leader
Whenever and wherever there is a group of human beings, leadership is required. Leaders either arise naturally or are elected by the group. In either case, people need to understand that without leadership no group, great or small, will survive long. Understanding this quickly brings us to the next necessary fact: you’re either a leader or a follower. You must either accept this right away or leave the group for its own good. If you choose to stay, you must understand what a leader and a follower do, and then perform in accord with those two positions.
There is much about leadership and followership that we won’t mention here. Suffice to say that leadership is a secular arena is different from leadership in a spiritual one. Secular leadership is the art of getting a disparate group of people to work together to accomplish a common goal. Spiritual leadership is the art of bringing a person to a deeper understanding of God through His Word. Followership is much the same in either arena: it is the art of submitting oneself to the leadership of another.
Christian leaders both exist and are being developed, and by that we mean that no one ever becomes a fully developed Christian leader. Even the excellent ones are still learning better ways to influence the world for Christ. In the same way, those who follow are still learning better ways to disciple others and spread God’s word.
Simple Faith
Although Faith seems like an abstraction to the world, for the believer it can become more tangible than any stone.
Simple Christianity
Christianity is simple: it’s all about Love. God’s Love for people moves us from a state of being apart from Him to one being a part of Him. The Christian’s love for people prompts us to seek the better good for everyone in God’s creation.
The Christian Leader
Christian leaders understand that spiritual leadership is not only necessary, it is also different from physical leadership. It is the art of bringing a person to a deeper understanding of God through His Word.
The Christian Follower
All Christians are followers of Christ, and most Christians need the leadership of a more mature Christian. Christian followers practice the art of submitting to the leadership of both God and man.
